Managing Change Management - It's All About the "HOW"

Change is an ongoing reality - a “fact of life” within any organization – and can result in intense disruption, stress and anxiety for leaders and staff, particularly if it is not researched, planned, implemented or managed effectively. 

In this half-day workshop, Marli uses her vast experience as a respectful workplace consultant, investigator and labour arbitrator to outline her insights and observations of what works – and what doesn’t – when it comes to creating, implementing and communicating about workplace “change” -  regarding operations, personnel or otherwise. 

While institutional change is often inevitable and in many cases “imposed”, its overall and long-term success largely depends on how it is characterized, implemented and received within the organization. 

Marli offers participants practical tips on how to “manage change management” in a way that respects everyone affected by the change: those who have initiated it, those responsible for implementing it, and those who are expected to “live with it”.

As part of this session participants will work in groups on an applied “case scenario” in order to put the change management principles into practice.
